Local congregation dedicating rescued Torah Scroll Jan. 26

Hope of Israel Congregation is the Roanoke Valley’s first Messianic Jewish community and the only Messianic Congregation within a 100-mile radius of the Star City.
All are welcome to participate in the Congregation’s once in a lifetime event to dedicate a 100-year-old Torah Scroll and learn more about Messianic Judaism. The event will include Israeli music, dancing, and a procession of the scroll into the building where it will be dedicated and placed into a locally handmade mahogany ark.
A Torah Scroll contains the first five books of the Bible and is meticulously inspected, crafted, and written in the original Hebrew language on specially prepared kosher parchment. This particular scroll was rescued from a Synagogue in Europe and has been restored.
