6th Annual Inter-Congregational Cruise
On February 4th a group of over 50 Messianic's representing five congregations boarded the Carnival Fantasy for 5 days of worship and fellowship. The inter-Congregational cruise started as a retreat for the members of Brit Ahm Messianic Synagogue in Pensacola with a crew of 28 sailing on the first voyage. The impact of the fellowship and time to really connect without the interference of everyday life was so powerful that Rabbi Eric Tokajer contacted other rabbis and invited them to join in with their congregations. This year there were cruisers from Congregation Mayim Chayim in Daphne, Alabama, Beit Israel Messianic Synagogue in Mobile, Alabama, Brit Ahm Messianic Synagogue in Pensacola, Florida and Beit Lev Echad in Dothan, Alabama. Each day of the cruise a special time of worship is held as well as activities designed to help people to connect beyond saying shalom as synagogue. This years theme was Psalm 46:11-12: 11“Be still, and know that I am God. I am exalted among the nations. I am exalted in the earth.” 12 Adonai-Tzva’ot is with us. The God of Jacob is our strong tower. Selah.
With messages brought by Rabbi David Tokajer, Rabbi Eric Tokajer and Rabbi Paul Collins. Worship was led by Lynn and Deedee Huey of Congregation Mayim Chayim. The announcement of the 7th Annual Inter-Congregational Cruise will be coming soon.
